For the non-drinkers, assume you're absolutely dying of thirst (not literally) and there's nothing else available.
Take it however you want it, specifically looking at your favourite type of pop, taking an average across the spectrum, whatever.
[map]what's pop? :P[/map]
As I'm not in rural Michigan, it's soda, and I don't drink it. I'm quite partial to soda water though, does that count, or do I need to have five diabeetus of sugar per glass ?
I really thought this was about pop music at first. Then I remembered the soda maps.
OK I'm gonna admit it now, I prefer 70s glam-rock over early 80s synth-pop.:gasp:

Monster.
So is Tyr ironically using knowledge from prior soda maps or do the British actually call it a pop? Have we had an European map?
The only time I drink "soda pop" is;
coke with bourbon
7UP or Ginger ale with Seagrams 7.
Yes, I only use it as a mixer for alcoholic drinks too. But i do use the full sugar versions for that so voted for that option.

I remember pop being used sometimes when I was a kid in the 70s but not for ages. We usually say fizzy drink. Might be different up north

We say that too, but its a mouthful so pop is more common.
I don't drink Coke.
I don't drink pop/soda very often, but I prefer the regular sugared type. When I used to drink it more often I drank the diet types more often but then learned that the sweetener in diet pop had a similar effect on your system as sugar, though not the calories. After a while I also disliked the taste of the diet ones, so I just get the regular stuff.

This isn't an energy drinks poll
Or are they included?
Regular tastes best if it's made with cane sugar. But I switched to diet eons ago because of the calories. Recently I've cut out even diet soda for the most part. Going heavy on iced tea and water these days.
I rarely drink it, but when I do I get the regular stuff and not the sissy diet crap.
I drink diet, even though the sugared variety certainly tastes better. But I don't drink much coke actually.
I rarely drink them, but if I do it's with real sugar. Except Coca-Cola where I generally opt for the Coke Zero.
I don't often drink them - when I do it's full-fat because as much as anything I don't really have them often enough to know the difference or which I'd prefer
Are there people that drink diet because they like it better?

How does Coke Zero taste so much better than Diet Coke, I wonder? :hmm:
I don't drink soda (what I call 'pop') very often but when I do it's always diet. I can't stand to drink sweet drinks like regular soda, sweet tea, etc. ... they make me feel sick.

I think once you get used to diet pop that's what you come to prefer.

Yup.
I'll take a diet over a regular any day of the week. Over here, the sugared type is way too sweet to be palatable anymore.

Me.
But it is not like I could drink the regular stuff much anyway.
I never drank diet until they released Zero, which tastes closer to the real thing. But I'd rather drink regular if I wasn't overweight.
