Anyone watching? Nice to see that Roger Goodell still gets booed.
Hehe, Roger is making what, 40mil a year? Something ridiculous. I'm not watching but going to see who the Patriots get as they make the usual yearly changes that all teams make. I'm hoping they get a very good tight end to replace Gronk, and strengthen the defense.
Browns already got their pick: OBJ. That said, the Raiders did... ok. I think they severely reached at 4 for their guy though.
Kind of a fun first round night. First time I ever went to a draft party-type thing. Bengals got a stud OT, so I'm happy.
Defeatist yokel fans are whining about how Pittsburgh traded up and "stole our LB". Bengals were going to take Williams regardless. Steelers might have stolen him from someone else, but not from the Bengals.
I think it's now official - the Giants are the worst-run organization in the NFL.

You are, of course, thinking Cleveland is not part of the NFL?
Nah Cleveland is actually looking semi competent. Giants can't say the same.

Patriot's round one pick was a wide receiver, next two rounds defensive players, then a running back and offensive linesmen. Plus a QB in round four. Then more defense players.

Strangely no TE. Either they intend to get one elsewhere or to change the offense to fit their personnel.

They'll sign some random undrafted free agent or someone from another team's practice squad and turn him into a star.

That offensive linesman is the 2nd ever Dane to be drafted in the NFL. :w00t: I might root for the Patriots this season.
Wondered where that dude was from. A name like that sticks out in the NFL :D

They signed Andrew Beck from Texas. I look forward to him going from mediocre college TE to four time Pro Bowler.

What makes Washington suck is that the organization is toxic and dysfunctional and always goes somewhere between 5-11 and 10-6. Never bad enough to really tank and get top draft picks so they just kind of float in limbo forever. The Giants seem to be tanking correctly.

The mantle has been passed.
Yokel Bengals fans would disagree with you guys. According to them, not taking Haskins is proof that this terrible organization has no interest in competing for a Super Bowl and makes them the worst-run professional sports team in history.
They're canceling their (non-existent) season tickets as we speak and won't watch another Bengals game or buy any Bengals apparel until Mike Brown is no longer owner of this team
This fanbase has gotten so weirdly unsupportive of this team, that I could easily see the Bengals moving to San Antonio or somewhere else in 2024 once their stadium commitment is over. Then the fans will be whining on a Baltimore level about having their team taken away from them.
Where did he play his HS ball?

Lions fans were like this during the Millen era; going so far as to have the Lion's fans show up in orange during a game against the Bengals at Ford Field.
Some athletic boarding school in Florida-- IMG Academy.
Lazy Yi :P

I find the foreign player stories much cooler when they're just grabbed out of he jungle. The sports prep factories are so mechanical.

I think the Bengals got their German dude that way, or at least the Vikings did when they drafted him. So this will probably send a Chris Matthews-esque thrill up your leg:

I'm not a big NFL jersey guy, but I want to get his jersey just for the umlaut.
Cool.
It was more of a Ted Koppelesque tingling in the fingers.
As long as it's not a Rathers-esque pummeling, a la "Kenneth, what's the frequency?" :D
