What song lyrics do You find particularly true and for that matter dishonest or wrong?
Just listening to an ok Yes album, Big Generator and one of the songs has this as the main lyrics:
"Love Will Find a Way, If You Want It To."
Sorry, but that's just wrong, I think anyone who's reach 15, say 18 at the outside, will know that's patently soppy and doesn't work in the real world.*
* Just my opinion, who knows perhaps it has worked for someone? :D
I love that song (then again, I love most every Yes song). :)

Oh and I personally have found this to be true.

Yeah, its a relatively under-rated album and the songs are good, just much of the lyrics don't bear scrutiny, it's manly love songs isn't it?
Actually thinking about it, a girl, the best friend of a female friend, have me that album years ago; I wonder if she was trying to communicate something? :hmm:
Keeping in the same basic genre, I will put forth 'The Logical Song' by Supertramp as having especially true lyrics, at least to me.

I'm still trying to figure out how women communicate, man.

I don't think there is anything your with what the song is saying. Other than you pulling the chorus
out of context.
I have found these lyrics to be true. "Istanbul was Constantinople. Now it's Istanbul, not Constantinople."
True: "Life is useless like Ecclesiastes says".
"This is how Canadian administrative law works:"
The hell it is.
i can't pay attention to song lyrics. :( i can listen to a song three hundred times and have no idea what it says.
I am unsure of the veracity of the line "There's no business like show business".

Well I guess it depends on what love is supposed to find its way to :hmm:
"In the jungle, the mighty jungle
The lion sleeps tonight"
I mean WTF? Lions don't live in the jungle they live in the savannah.

I don't think the lyrics are referring to the use of Rohypnol. :hmm:
None of the Sheenas I know are punk rockers.
It's Alright, Ma (I'm Only Bleeding)
Yes arent especially known for their lyrics. I mean they had a hit song with the lyrics "mountains come out of sky and they stand there"
:D
Don't get me wrong. I love the band.

The Band is great. Especially "The Weight" and "The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down".

I actually sang that line over and over again to the point that my wife yelled at me once. I couldn't get it out of my head. :(
Another thing I sometimes sing to Princesca when I'm leaving to come home from a business trip is "Mama, I'm Coming Home" by Ozzy. So I guess those lyrics are true also. :)

Oh yeah, Jon Anderson 'wrote the book' on obtuse song lyrics.
Oddly Big Generator, probably has some of their most intelligible songs on it.

Wimoweh wimoweh wimoweh wimoweh is fine then? :glare:
I always pronounce that "a-wimowek."
That song was shite when it first came out, I can't begin to imagine how bad a Marty-Yi duet would be. :D

That sounds like a Drunken Karaoke Challenge. ;)
There'd be horsemen, four in all, coming when "play" was pressed.
I heard it as "oh-wimoweh, oh-wimoweh"
I sing backup on that song every couple weeks with an autistic kid who's a regular at my hang.
so "yeah oh-wimoweh, definitely oh-wimoweh"? :hmm:

Cause Trevor Rabin wrote them?
QuoteWhile they're standing in the welfare lines
Crying at the doorsteps of those armies of salvation
Wasting time in the unemployment lines
Sitting around waiting for a promotion
Poor people gonna rise up
And get their share
Poor people gonna rise up
And take what's theirs
I've always thought that Bad Brains "Pay to Cum" was one that described the truth.
