My vote goes to Hendricks, especially for her appearances on Firefly.

Very tough call.  Maybe Fisher by a tiny bit over Hendricks?  Slight deduction for Hendricks for not being a real redhead.  Lana Del Rey is moving up the ranks.  Emma Stone is pretty decent as well, though not listed.  Heck, even that Dr. Who chick is alright, though in more of a cute way than a hot way.  Oh, Amanda Righetti from The Mentalist as well.  Outside of Hollywood Actresses, I've got to go with Faye Reagan.

I think for the average woman longer hair is better than shorter. There are some who would look good no matter what, and some who specifically look good short.

Yeah, Halle Berry's short hair looks great. Duh. But the average office girl who one day comes in to work having chopped her hair off though? The complements will all come from the other girls in the office who aren't as pretty as her.

Shaven is never attractive, but "short" hair that's not quite shoulder length can be attractive.

Way to miss the forest. Men have been found to prefer long-haired women. This is thought be related to long healthy hair indicating a long period of health for the person who carries the womb, suggesting continued long term heath.

Focusing on the one study which claims that guys find hair like their mother has hott has Freudian implications, yes.

It matters since it goes to why straight males like long hair and under which conditions short hair might still be considered attractive. Long hair, like the hourglass figure, clean skin and good teeth, correlate to good reproductive health.
