Well? How important are Bridges in your life?
Fake bridges over very large valleys count, overpasses do not.
Myself, daily. I live on an island, work on a different island.
I will cross this bridge when I get there.
I guess I'll go with monthly. That's probably about right consider trips to Brooklyn and/or out of the city.
What kind of tree is your bridge?
There are no rivers or valleys of significant size near where I live so only when I'm travelling.
I live within a few miles of the Erie Canal, and that fucking thing wanders all over the damn place, so pretty much every single day I cross a bridge. In fact, it is rather easy to cross the Erie more than once going from point 1 to point B.
Throw in the Genessee river....and yeah, pretty much daily.
Several times a day. Canals and all that.
I work on the north side of the river, and live on the south side of the river. So twice daily.
Vancouver is a city of bridges. On my usual day I will cross one bridge taking the boys to school and then another bridge travelling from the North Shore to downtown. This afternoon I will cross three bridges as I return to the North Shore, pick up one boy and take him to a basketball game on the eastern side of the North Shore.
The days I dont cross a bridge are the days I stay at home.
At least twice daily for me.
Multiple times every day. I will count on the way home
I cross a bridge over the Ohio River into Kentucky and then back over the river into Ohio to get to work. The of course the opposite for my commute back home. So four times a day, or possibly 6 if I have lunch in Kentucky.

there are 2 very small bridges I have to cross to go into town, but they are for a small river, nothing impressive. Though it would ruin my car if they were to fall, I doubt I'd die on the spot, as say, the Champlain bridge falling.

Is that a function of the Crossing or where it is located :hmm:
I'm a maniac. Maniac.
I cross one relatively small one that goes over a creek + a park or whatever it was they were building down there. Not exactly the Golden Gate Bridge, but it's definitely there.
He's dancing like he's never done before.
So I'm not an excellent dancer. Sue me.
Daily commute one way: 22 overpasses, one valley "bridge", one river "bridge". They are all overpasses to me.

The Brent Spence Bridge for I-71/75, yes. It's a pain in the ass. But I cross over on I-275 and then I-471, which is much more laid back.
each morning I cross a bridge over Spring Creek. I cross it again on the way home.
Iowa City straddles the Iowa River. I cross it around once a month, to hit the megamall. The river is about a hundred yards wide at this point.

I prefer Immanuel Can.
My daily commute doesn't have a bridge, but it does have several tunnels as I live in a hilly area. So I only cross bridges infrequently, probably less than once a week.
I go across a small bridge twice each day that I go to work.
I cross a small bridge over a stream every other day.

Who?
I'll often cross the river here, several times in a modest journey, as much of my travel seems to involve traversing the valley north-south.
There is however another river I rarely cross if I can help it.
Daily. I live south of the river.
Several times a week, there's a river in between me and the closest major city.
Several times a week. The university is located on the so-called Shit Island (http://da.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lorte%C3%B8en).
My town has the oldest railway bridge in the world :contract:
Define bridge. Proper large noticeable spans over water- less than weekly. Spans over something- daily in the train. So by your definition the first I suppose
I cross (small) bridges over Plum Creek, Cane Run, Floyd's Fork, Pope Lick Creek, Chenoweth Run, and Beargrass Creek daily. Louisville is on the Ohio River but I very rarely cross into Indiana as I cannot bear to set foot on Yankee soil. :)
Been crossing the Lamoille River each way to work for about four months. :Canuck:

YOUR LOSS
Well, except for the Indiana part.
Ohio is OK. I'll make an exception for the Cincinnati area. Indiana tho... :yuk:
I cross very few bridges when I stay in my home. At least one if I go outside. There's a lot of creeks and such in Jefferson City.

:yeahright: Seriously?
I know who Kant is, I'm wondering who Viking thinks is reading his biography.
The OP obviously. Kant is without a doubt the most notorious daily bridge crosser in world history.
Twice a day - the bridge in the middle across the Danube. The subway line is below the street.

I also cross the Danube Canal, but the subway line goes underneath it.
The new bridge is a replacement for the old Reichsbrücke which collapsed in the 70s.
A couple of times a month. It does the soul good to cross the Thames and see the horizon even from the middle of the city.
On my way to work there's a river and a canal that I pass so 4 times a day.

He famously took regular daily walk so regular people literally set their watches by it (starting the trope). His rout crossed all 7 bridges in Königsberg at the time. This regular habit actually resulted in Euler famously mathematically proving that Kant could not take his walk crossing each bridge only once ending where he started. Kant actual path is lost to history.
