I kept blue to places that I've seen a lot of. So while I've been now to Quebec several times, I certainly have not seen most parts of the province...and so only some of the sights.

amber for states where you've at least slept and seen some sights.
blue for states you've spent a lot of time in or seen a fair amount of.
green for states you've spent a great deal of time in on multiple visits.

Depends on what you want. If you are just going to watch geysers, bother wildlife, and other touristy things you can do it in a couple of days. If you want to see more of the back country and get chased by grizzlies as well as see the tourist stuff then it can be longer. There is a lot to see there, a lot. It is a huge place with many hidden gems only reachable by foot.
