It was a mistake to give women the vote.

Don't really see why it bothers you;  nothing seems to come of it.

As a Republican whose income and assets actually justifies my being in the party I feel I'm in a position of authority over you (the redneck servile class), at this time  I've decided you'll be voting for Hillary to insulate the GOP establishment from the consequences of a Trump presidency.

I plan to vote for Gary Johnson. My question to Languish is: Do I continue with the arrangement so many of you despise and cast my wife's vote for Gary Johnson or do I have her vote her conscience and allow a vote for Trump?

Cast the vote for her.  The security of the Republic takes priority over all else.

So far in my family I have one brother all in for Trump, one who may hold his nose and vote Trump, a sister in law who is with me on voting Gary Johnson, and a wife who would vote Trump if I let her (I still haven't gotten guidance from Languish on what I should do).  Not sure who my parents are voting for-- they've voted in every election since the early 60s but I could see them both sitting this one out.

You have an excellent strategy for voting for Trump while pretending like you are not voting for Trump. Color me: Not Surprised.

So far Mono is the only one to (sort of) answer. And on behalf of West Virginia coal miners I salute him.

True now that the GOP leader has come out both for LGBT and fascism, the last remaining obstacles to him running are gone.

I wonder how far away this country is from its own version of the Spanish Civil War?

I really doubt it. Trump has given her much better material to work with.

I'm embarrassed. I've been making the mistake of associating with you. It won't happen again. :)

He's got all the best material. So much material you wouldn't believe.
