Last night's debate would have been much enhanced if Zbigniew Brzezinski came out and smacked Trump around every time he talked about foreign policy.

Zee accent makes it even better.   YOU FOOL

I wouldn't of really cared who did the smacking.

Well I don't know why at all a nation in the 21st century would want to be based on ethnic identity. Seems very problematic.
Because history shows that's how communities cluster naturally.  And if you try to ignore that reality, bad things eventually happen.  The US is the exception and not the rule.

then it's not a rule and those "bad things" are caused by other things, such as lack of proper civilization

Carter is a lecturing curmudgeon so doesn't tend to make people super friendly toward him, he does some good works but is also an asshat when it comes to criticizing  the dude currently in the Oval Office; particularly odd given his own disastrously failed Presidency.

As for keeping Canadians out, sadly with the internet a physical wall is no proper bar.

This photo is kind of telling.
I've given it serious thought. I must scorn the ways of my family, and seek a Japanese woman to yield me my progeny. He shall live in the lands of the east, and be well tutored in his sacred trust to weave the best traditions of Japan and the Sacred South together, until such time as he (or, indeed his house, which will periodically require infusion of both Southern and Japanese bloodlines of note) can deliver to the South it's independence, either in this world or in space.  -Lettow April of 2011

It could go either way.  Most properly civilized countries that are not former colonies are ethnic states.

I find it quite touching that Michelle Obama and Dubya are supposedly quite close. Fills my heart with gladness.  :)

you misunderstood my post. I was calling those states not properly civilized if they're too focused on ethnicity

The man was never accused of not having a heart.  Quite the contrary.  Now, Sith Lord Darth Cheney, that's a different story.

Being lazy is bad; unless you still get what you want, then it's called "patience".
Hubris must be punished. Severely.

Dark Lord Cheney's malignant power has weakened much over the years, thankfully.
