I don't really see how it would help. Because of her perceived duplicitous nature, attempts at transparency don't really seem to help Clinton much.

Besides, it isn't like wiki leaks is really threatening to derail her campaign at this point.

I definitely did in California. But then we'd also be facing a dozen or so propositions at any election too.

So far it hasn't been that damaging, but the daily WikiLeaks drip-drip keeps the subject of "Clinton+emails" in the news.
Just release them all and take the wind out of Assange's sails.

By the way the complete lack of editing and the release of PII (SS numbers etc ) and highly personal comms between Podesta and his wife/kids proves yet again Assange is the scum of the earth and anyone who deals with him is a best a monumentally naïve fool, and more likely something much worse than that.

It's a little stomach churning that they are now lionizing a man that six years ago they were calling for to be hung as a traitor (despite the obvious problem with that).  The whole world has gone topsy-turvy.

Like Yi suggested, the emails are more damaging from an "inside baseball" perspective--things everybody knows that goes on with campaigns and candidates, but nobody wants out in the open.  So far, more embarrassing than dangerous, but annoying all the same.  It's one thing to think XYZ is an asshole, it's another for XYZ to read your email from 18 months ago calling him an asshole.  Oops.

But the emails pose a more immediate psychological threat to her side. Key allies are filled with anxiety about their personal, and often blunt, assessments — of Democratic allies and the candidate herself — being exposed in the email hack.

The campaign has scoured Podesta's account, using search words to identify any information that could potentially come out and upend the race.

Campaign manager Robby Mook has tried to keep the mood upbeat among the hundreds of young staffers who populate two floors of an overcrowded campaign headquarters in Brooklyn — and Clinton's staff claims there's nothing they have discovered in the hack that they expect will take them down or upend the race.

But some of the "psy-ops" tactics appear to be working. Anxiety among Clinton aides and allies, some of whom are positioning themselves for jobs in the White House or ambassadorships, is spreading.

Campaign allies are buzzing that there are emails coming down the pike in which Podesta — who in more than 10,000 documents released so far remains circumspect in sharing his personal judgments — "appraises some people on the campaign negatively." Campaign operatives have been reaching out to some allies on the outside who have been mentioned in the emails, but there's only so much good a heads-up can do.
