I have become a bit addicted to Age of Empires 4.  As a middle aged soon becoming old man, my reaction time is way too slow to get a high ladder rank, but I am having fun being a "gold" player which means I am right in the mediocre middle of the player base - but having a lot of fun.

Tactical Breach Wizards - Neat X-Com style combat with a bit of character development and a pretty extensive story.  I'll definitely be getting back to this one, as there's more to see with 5.2 hours played. However I got distracted by...

That was a Steam Next Fest (demo) star from early in the year.

I'm going to take back my comments on Spiritfall being too easy due to upgrades.  I started a fresh save file and I beat the final boss on my second run.  I guess I did get that much better at the game.

I just looked at my record, and I have sunk 1000 hours plus into KCD2. Add to that 600 hours into Vic3, and I see why I have been... unproductive this year.

I played a lot of Civ7 in February/March.

Also, Tile Town - placing city hex tiles for high scores is my kryptonite (together with Match 3 games and Balatro on my phone). Shocked to see OOTP25 up there - I basically only logged in once a day to collect my card pack and trade cards (spent no money). Didn't play the game proper.

Apparently I only played 13 games this year.  I tend to hyper-focus on a single game for various periods, plus my daily World of Warships.  I guess there's a cutoff, because I started revisiting Endless Space 2 a couple weeks ago, but it isn't there.

The funny thing is that the Skyrim numbers is almost all "tweaking the mod-list, checking the build, updating MCM settings" rather than actually playing.

Eternal Sonata on the PS3. Was told it was a good RPG and I really felt like an old school RPG. It is...bizzare. Set in Chopin's head during his dying moments. No really. The classical music fanboyism you get in japan is strange stuff. Fairly fun so far though the plot seems pretty uninspiring- being told from the get go that anything you do will be meaningless as nothing is real....yeah.

King of Dragon Pass on the PC. Quite fun for a while but then suddenly foot shortages became regular and impossible to fix, my people starved. Which was a big anti-climax. Reading guides apparently you have to invest heavily into sacrificing to crops related gods. Shame I have to start again, was enjoying it.

I note Cities in Motion 2 was released recently. Don't have it yet though must investigate!

I got 3 quarters throuhg Eternal Sonata and then the damn game got corrupted.  Like something at that point on the disc just stopped. Ienjoyed it. Was weird. King of Dragon Pass was similar experience to yours.

Thanks guys. Results are rather underwhelming, apparently I spent less than 50 hours playing games on Steam this year.
