I'm trying to book a cruise in the caribbean, and the cheapest one seems to be the ship Carnival Valor for $1917.74
Its a 7 nights cruise.

So, what do you think?
Should I book it?

Oh, its a balcony room.
My wife wants a balcony.
I could get the cheapest room in the ship for close to half that price.

So, is it a good price for the balcony?

Doesn't balcony only make sense if you spend considerable time in the cabin? A couple of friends went on cruises and they were fine with an indoor cabin, because they only went there to sleep, anyways and spent the rest of the time sunbathing, in bars, doing shore tours etc.

Humm, good point.

The problem is the ship stops at Cozumel in Mexico, and my wife already said that she is staying on board.
That's why she insists on having a balcony.
But you are right, there are lot of things to do (and drink) in the boat.

Why?  Cozumel is a great place to visit.

Something about some plague in Mexico, I think.

No worries siegey, the plague will only affect the Egyptians

Balcony = waste of money IMO.  Lots of places to hang out on a boat; I prefer getting the cheapest room possible, and spending the extra cash on something more tangible.  Like booze :D

Cozumel is about as Mexican as Disney World is American.  I think you should be about as worried about catching swine flu in Cozumel as you should be worried about witnessing a gang fight in Disney World.

So long as you remember to slaughter a sheep and spread its blood on the door of your cabin.

Staying on a crowded ship with a couple thousand others for a week is the best way to avoid the plague.

Ok, I just paid for the damn thing.
2000 bucks down the drain.

Every time I spend over 500 dollars I get an stomach ache.
