I don't think somebody would be standing out of cover with a camera if he did ;)

Of course not.
We don't have combat cameramen.
I haven't seen one on this deployment.
They are probably in the big FOBs, not here in the end of the world.

US army cameramen suck because commanders are not willing to have a guy out there with a camera in the middle of a firefight. Plus infantrymen hate them.

I've given it serious thought. I must scorn the ways of my family, and seek a Japanese woman to yield me my progeny. Oh, I was hoping you got some easy duty guarding a base.  You have a kid to look after now, so don't go getting your self blown up.  Kid won't raise himself, Afghanis on the other hand, have a high likelyhood of blowing themselves up.
