Kaine's won apparently.

I didn't want either of them to win, I wanted Webb as Senator for life :(

Yeah, very disappointed he decided to walk away from it all.

Do yourself a favor, and read "Fields of Fire" to feel better.

Yeah.  I'm not surprised.  I think Grumbler predicted it a while ago.  But I loved his contribution - his visible, sincere rage on Romney's 47% comments was great to see and I always hugely admired his attempts at penal reform.

The honest truth is he's too intelligent and too accomplished to put up with the bullshit that is Capitol Hill anyway.

Watching Todd Akin's concession speech;  lots of "Almighty God" and the tyranny of government.  Tyranny.  Almighty God.  Gotta love candidates from 1850.

Sheilbh

I heard Brown's speech was very gracious.  Akin's the opposite.

Basically, everything is the same as yesterday.
Four years, a few billion dollars and it's possible that Mitt managed to win North Carolina and Colorado :(

I like Angus King a lot.  The Republicans spent millions attacking him.  I doubt he'll be with them.

I put in for a job in Maine recently.  I would go so fucking fast, the cat wouldn't know her ass was in the carrier.  What a lovely, moderate, sensible state.
In addition gay marriage is winning the vote in Maine by about 59% :)
