Working on some costuming for Halloween, and just wondering where everybody stands on the uniforms.  I'm opening up triple-voting for the indecisive; for me, it's a tie between the Monster Maroons and the DS9 Mk.II.

The Monster Maroons make the best dress uniforms, bar none.  The DS9 Mk.II gets its place for daily shipboard duty- it looks smart, it's not complex, so it's not going to take a lot of valuable storage space, and unlike most of the other Trek uniforms, the department color isn't overbearing- if you imagine the colored bands as cords, an officer on rotation could use two undershirts and two pairs of bands with one pair of blacks.

Enterprise - because they look most like a standard jumpsuit as one would have in space with a central laundry providing everybody with clothing.
First Maxim - "There are only two amounts, too few and enough."
First Corollary - "You cannot have too many soldiers, only too few supplies."
Second Maxim - "Be willing to exchange a bad idea for a good one."
Second Corollary - "You can only be wrong or agree with me."

A terrorist which starts a slaughter quoting Locke, Burke and Mill has completely missed the point.
The fact remains that the only person or group to applaud the Norway massacre are random Islamists.

Agreed.  It runs a close second for me for exactly that reason.  The costume designer obviously started out by looking over NASA shuttle crew uniforms.

No question:

Followed by DS9 Mk2/TNG movies.

I've always thought Star Fleet uniforms looked kind of dumb. /shrug

Well, I've always been partial to these outfits:

The AGT uniforms are definitely popular, but getting filed under "other" for only appearing in three episodes across three series. ;)

TOS, Enterprise, and the new movie ones are my current favorites.

TNG Mk II. Have you ever WORN a jumpsuit? So impractical!

MadImmortalMan

I've always been partial to the DS9 ones. Especially the later version. Excluding the Bajoran eyesores, of course.

It all comes down to what you're used to, of course.

I grew up with the "monster maroons", so that was my single vote.

They're the most "navy" of them all, as far as I'm concerned.

Which is why Gene Roddenberry totally hated them.

I don't know about "navy".  They certainly look like military uniforms, not jump-suits, but if I had to pick a real-life equivalent, I'd say they look an awful lot like:

minus the stetsons.
