Technically, I'm always on call.

But I find the time to post all kinds of dumb shit here so I must be good at my job. Decent IT guys are busy. Good ones are swamped. Superb ones are bored.  :)

Right now underemployed AND European, so take that.

Before this I was oficially clocking 39 hours weekly, but reality was closer to 45-50.

Yeah, I was usually pushing 50 to 55 a week when I was working.  Glad to see it paid off.

At least 40 hrs a week, plus Navy stuff, closer to 50 in reality.

40h + a few bits here and there. Maybe around 41-42h average.

Early in my career, I did 60+ hours. Damn capitalists.

Now, I can decide my own schedule. Which is sweet. Some days I only arrive at 13 PM, give some general guidance, and leave by 18 PM (including internet surfing time, like looking at Languish - you may have noticed I post on Sundays).

If I've got something that does need my personal attention, I can do 7 AM - 3 AM. Fortunately, that doesn't happen that often, as several days of that in a row take a toll on my health.

But on an average week, I'd say I do about 34 hours.

40 hours. We start and stop pretty punctually.

Yes, I do love that in Germany and Austria.

Too bad that the real politics are done in the wee hours of the night over drinks... *sigh*

50-60 this time of the year, sometimes more.  Around 30 during the winter.

I put about 15-20 hours a week into my school work.

50-60 counting school...which I do since that is the source of most of my stress.

I don't understand that 40-50 range. Unless one is being paid hourly, one wouldn't be picking up extra cash for addl time.
