A friend of mine on Facebook posed this question, and I thought it was interesting enough to bring here.

Given the opportunity, which of the 27 amendments to the US constitution would you get rid of?*

For those, like me, who don't know them by heart, I offer this link. :)

*Pre-emptive: Number 19! Har har! Get rid of the wimmins!! Har har!
Yesterday, upon the stair,
I met a man who wasn't there
He wasn't there again today
I wish, I wish he'd go away...

I'm sure for most Teabaggers, Republitards and Libertariantards, the 16th would probably be their pick for one to go.

My problem isn't with the Amendments we have now, but the ones people keep trying to create the last 20 years: flag-burning, "Personhood" and anti-abortion, sanctity of marriage, stuff like that.
Although I still think the ERA should've passed.

I think I'd eliminate the 22nd if I had to choose one, though I'm with Seedy and don't really have a problem with any of them.

Eh, the 22nd.  Bill Clinton would probably still be President.
I've given it serious thought. I must scorn the ways of my family, and seek a Japanese woman to yield me my progeny. He shall live in the lands of the east, and be well tutored in his sacred trust to weave the best traditions of Japan and the Sacred South together, until such time as he (or, indeed his house, which will periodically require infusion of both Southern and Japanese bloodlines of note) can deliver to the South it's independence, either in this world or in space.  -Lettow April of 2011

2nd obviously, it was rendered irrellevant when Jefferson built ships and funded, equipped and trained the marines.
First Maxim - "There are only two amounts, too few and enough."
First Corollary - "You cannot have too many soldiers, only too few supplies."
Second Maxim - "Be willing to exchange a bad idea for a good one."
Second Corollary - "You can only be wrong or agree with me."

A terrorist which starts a slaughter quoting Locke, Burke and Mill has completely missed the point.
The fact remains that the only person or group to applaud the Norway massacre are random Islamists.

2nd would be in the running, but I think I'd go with the 12th.

I'd rather the 2nd be properly edited and rewritten in such a fashion that it can no longer be misinterpreted by redneck Dumbfuckistani mouthbreathers as opposed to being eliminated.

I'm shocked that you think that you should get to keep your guns but other people should not.
