I took a look at it, and saw some decent deals for games I was thinking of getting, a lot of people seem to trash it (though that Might be just because it's done by EA).  Anyone try it?  Anyone know if it's good and if not, what is the problem with it?

It's mandatory for EA games, but if you can live without it, do.

Its incompatible with older EA games (you'll need to download a pirated copy to make them work), it won't work if you reinstall Windows, and often it will simply stop recognizing your id&password for no reason, just like that.  And EA tech support is the worst in the industry with clueless morons behind their keyboards.

Origin is the worst game platform out there.  Steam is #1, followed by Gamestop and Gamespy.

Battlefield 3, The Witcher II,  Crysis II, that Kingdoms of Amularsomthing , each 20 bucks seems like a good deal.
