Yep, 73 years to this day. It allowed Hitler to avoid a REAL two-front war unlike say, Poland.
You may know it under the name of German-Soviet Nonaggression Pact, German-Soviet Treaty of Nonaggression, Hitler-Stalin Pact, Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact. An infamous mention goes as well to the secret protocal with the fifth partition of Poland.

Germany was at war with Poland and France at the same time, so it was technically a two front war. :nerd:
It is far better for the truth to tear my flesh to pieces, then for my soul to wander through darkness in eternal damnation.

Jet: So what kind of woman is she? What's Julia like?
Faye: Ordinary. The kind of beautiful, dangerous ordinary that you just can't leave alone.
Jet: I see.
Faye: Like an angel from the underworld. Or a devil from Paradise.

I have it on good authority from the Paradox forums that the USSR didn't invade Poland but rather took possession of an abandoned piece of land after Poland was annihilated.
I am, somehow, less interested in the weight and convolutions of Einstein's brain than in the near certainty that people of equal talent have lived and died in cotton fields and sweatshops.

Sometimes I miss that place.  Sometimes.

Well, had Smigly-Rydz issued a formal declaration of war after the Red Army attacked, some would probably still see it as a Polish agression.

The day the Communist Party of the United States lost all its support among American pinko-leftists.  RIP guys you had a good run there.

They scored a few good wins after that-- like in espionage.

I never got banned there, though I pretty much quit going to their OT forum after the migration to Languish--I still went to the game forums until I quit buying their games.

That was a lot earlier than that, my friend.  Namely, somewhere around the US declaration of war in 1916 and Versailles.  Even lefties bailed on their anti-war sentiment.

Yes. Closet commie. He was probably the least effective though, compared to all the scientists, FBI types, and counter intelligence operators who they turned.

In the sense that most of its members were federal agents there to spy on it? :P

Even the Rosenbergs were former members of the CPUSA I believe.

I don't what you use as an image host, but it's not working for you.
I've given it serious thought. I must scorn the ways of my family, and seek a Japanese woman to yield me my progeny. He shall live in the lands of the east, and be well tutored in his sacred trust to weave the best traditions of Japan and the Sacred South together, until such time as he (or, indeed his house, which will periodically require infusion of both Southern and Japanese bloodlines of note) can deliver to the South it's independence, either in this world or in space.  -Lettow April of 2011

Seems to be working fine on my end.  Not sure what that red X is supposed to signify, though.  :hmm:
