The U.S. population has reached a nerdy and delightful milestone.

Shortly after 2:29 p.m. on Tuesday, August 14, 2012, the U.S. population was exactly 314,159,265, or pi (π) times 100 million, the U.S. Census Bureau reports. The U.S. Census Bureau's Population Clock projects the real-time size of the U.S. population based on monthly population estimates.

I have come to believe that the whole world is an enigma, a harmless enigma that is made terrible by our own mad attempt to interpret it as though it had an underlying truth.

Oh, that's right.  I already forgot about it.  That's the problem with having things that you got easily.  :(

Being the least fit nation on the planet - aka most round - they must console themselves with a gold medal with an asterix emblazoned on it.

And here I thought it was the Canadians who held onto things too long.   ;)
The purpose of studying economics is not to acquire a set of ready-made answers to economic questions, but to learn how to avoid being deceived by economists.

Don't one or two American states legislatiors have recognised this event 2-3 years or 14,159,265 people ago ?

One only reaches that conclusion if one acts unreasonably or if one is incompetant.

I'm afraid to post in this thread without my gun.   :(

That's a major concern, true.  That's why we should mention Abby Wambach's name every six days.
