Good on you Razster.

A friend tried to help a snapping turtle stuck in the street once. Just once.  My mother took it a step further and brought a small one home and put it in a little terrarium till it healed enough to release.

I used to live near a road that went in between two bends in a very long winding river. I was always ferrying turtles accross the road. there was a perfectly good drainange channel to go through, but no, they prefered to climb up an embankment and get run over. stupid turtles.
Being lazy is bad; unless you still get what you want, then it's called "patience".
Hubris must be punished. Severely.

and here I was thinking it was VD....

Siege, if I wanted to say that, I would have used the Latin, testudo.  Tortoise is an English word, not a Latin one.  I don't call you Erumpo.
