I did buy the premium edition of Forza Horizon 6 for 185$ with the logic that that's the price of a restaurant dinner for my family.

Quote from: viper37 on January 03, 2024, 08:57:32 PMGalactic Civilizations IV had a small special for Christmas time.  -20% for the base game, and all the expansion to come in 2024.

Jesus, that 129$ dollars on games I just spent.  Sure, I bought the BlueCoats for 1,69$ in that.  But I don't think I've ever spent that much on video games in any one time.  I'm not even sure I bought that much in any one year :D

It does not seem a radical departure from Galciv III.  Not like, say, the Dragon Age series.  But to their defense, having seen Galciv III evolve, having participated in its bug correction and AI balance, it's amazing how these games evolve over time.

They said they would no longer develop Galciv III two year ago, but they are still fixing stuff and introducing minor new features.

Back to the game.  It has nicely evolved.  There's a major expansion coming in June, touching the government system.

The government you chose will now affect which ships you can make, the interface, the resources you have access to.

I do like the workshop mods that let you pick different civs and ship designs.

What set up settings do you use?
I tried a huge galaxy, but that's way too big and too long.

Large galaxy, many clusters, 19 civilizations, Abundant planets, common habitable, normal hyperlanes.
Custom biological civ with standard tree.  The human tech tree is bugged for a custom civ.
Huge galaxy with 38 civs takes about 30 seconds to make a turn change.

Most of the severe bug have been fixed as of 3.31 insider patch.

I have this mod package:

In several surveys, the overwhelming first choice for what makes Canada unique is multiculturalism. This, in a world collapsing into stupid, impoverishing hatreds, is the distinctly Canadian national project.

I played tons of 4, hardly any of 5 (I just liked the UK setting a lot better), but being the sap I am that can't be trusted with money I'm rolling the dice on this one again. -_-

(It helps that I have a small vacation starting on the 15th. :P )

One of the upcoming DLCs for American Truck Sim is ... British Columbia. Maybe they should finish the USA first before branching out?  :hmm: Though I imagine they will do Alaska, eventually. Though it kinda makes me wish they would add seasons to the game. Currently it's perpetual summer (though there's winter mods, I think).

QuoteDrive through Beautiful British Columbia! Experience the stunning landscapes and vibrant culture of Canada's westernmost province. From rich history to breathtaking scenery, British Columbia offers truckers an unforgettable journey through one of the most diverse regions in the country.

Journey from the wild Pacific Coast, where the ocean meets lush rainforests, through bustling cities, fertile valleys, and deserts, before ascending to the towering peaks of the Rockies. As Canada's third-largest province, British Columbia offers endless roads and unforgettable scenery. Take the wheel and explore vibrant urban centers like Vancouver, take a ferry to Vancouver Island to drive through Victoria, the charming provincial capital, or head to Whistler, world-renowned for hosting the 2010 Winter Olympics.

British Columbia's national and provincial parks showcase its most spectacular natural wonders. See the towering Mount Robson, conquer scenic routes like the Coquihalla Summit or Rogers Pass, or, if you prefer gentler terrain, visit the Okanagan Valley, famous for its orchards, vineyards, and sparkling lakes.

From dramatic mountain ranges and serene valleys to rushing rivers, vast lakes, and the rugged Pacific coastline, British Columbia has it all. Explore everything from the comfort of your driver's seat as you haul vital cargo and help the local economy thrive.

Please note that everything you see here is still a work in progress and may change before the map expansion's release. Make sure to add this map expansion to your Steam wishlist!
