Forza Horizon 6 is coming out next month. I played a ton of 4, hardly and 5, so not really planning to get this. But then I saw that advanced access starts on the 14th of May, and I will be off work 15th till 24th (had not much planned except resting and relaxing) ...

It's set in Japan. That's a must play. Playground games makes awesome scenery.

Speaking of scenery. Drove today from Natchitoches, LA, to Waco and Houston, TX.

Starting in the swamps:

A working gas station:

An abandoned gas station:

Sam Houston, randomly on the roadside.

Coming up on Houston:

And passing through and towards the port:

We have, accordingly, always had plenty of excellent lawyers, though we often had to do without even tolerable administrators, and seen destined to endure the inconvenience of hereafter doing without any constructive statesmen at all.

Syt are you using that popular traffic mod (can't remember the name)? It helps a lot.

I tried one, but ended up mostly annoyed. I play these to chill, not to get pissed off at other drivers. :D

If you want to drive to relax, and not get pissed off at other drivers, Houston is a bad place to be.

OK but isn't there a happy medium between rush hour on the Cross Bronx, and the creepy quiet scene just before the post-apocalyptic zombie horde appears and rushes your truck?

Admittedly, finding a decent balance is a challenge. :D

I checked out AssCreed Origins and Odyssey on my new PC (well, the walking tours :P ).

The games still look beautiful. (After switching to compatibility mode for Win8 and disabling "full screen optimization" - the games would otherwise keep crashing for me.)

I also remembered that I picked up Valhalla in some sale or other, so I gave that one a look, too.

They were clearly just ripping off Skyrim - they even carbon copied the Nords (though they call them "Vikings"?), down to their architectural style. There's the snow covered North, the more lush though still gloomy South (much like Skyrim), and even ruins of old civilizations (like Dwemer or such), plus old places of worship. And they even have the conflict of the Nords vs. others in it. Though I guess they change the formula a bit by making the Nords, sorry: "Vikings" the invaders in this (and a bit less racist, too).

The map  seems a bit smaller than Odyssey, but checking online, the Odyssey map is much larger due to the inclusion of the sea. Landwise, Valhalla is larger, but since a lot of it can be traversed in more or less straight lines thanks to less rugged terrain or large bodies of water travel (in tourist mode) seems a lot faster, I guess?

Beware, Odyssey once made me order a Greek holiday.
