No minigames. That map is as graphic as it gets.

Medieval Spanish Catholicism was weird.

The guys that made Blasphemous are, of course, Andalusian.

Those are some pretty recognizable voice actors. The game must be doing well.

The Brain

I started on Doom Eternal, but the pointless parkour probably makes me stop playing it. Why is it there? Incomprehensible. The crouch mechanic in Doom (2016) was completely pointless, but at least it was optional, unlike this parkour stuff. Also, Doomguy used to be this tough badass dude, and now he's a trapeze artist? Er... wut?

QuoteThe Sims 4 is getting a Star Wars expansion

The Sims 4 is ditching its suburban comforts for a life of adventure in a a galaxy far, far away, thanks to imminent arrival of its latest Game Pack expansion, Star Wars: Journey to Batuu.

As its name suggests, The Sims 4 newest expansion, jets players and their tiny digital charges to Batuu, a remote terrestrial planet at the edge of the galaxy's Outer Rim Territories. Here, Sims can explore Black Spire Outpost (also the setting for Disney's various new Star Wars theme park lands), where they can eat, shop, dodge Stormtroopers, and admire the Millennium Falcon.

It's also possible for Sims to pledge their allegiance to either the Resistance or the First Order while in Batuu, embarking on missions at the behest of DJ R-3X, the droid in charge of the music at Oga's Cantina, to earn rewards and a raise their reputation within a particular faction.

As a Sim's standing increases, it'll affect how other Sims aligned to an opposing faction respond to them, and open up new contacts in the world. "Depending on the choice your Sim makes," explains EA, "they might encounter Vi Moradi running a mission, Rey practicing with her lightsaber, Kylo Ren losing his temper, or Hondo Ohnaka cheating at a game of sabacc."

Sims will also be able to hunt for parts required to build their own lightsabers and droids on their travels (again, much as in Disney's theme park). Once created, Sims can undergo lightsaber training and spar to raise their Fitness skill, while droids can help assist in missions.

Although Sims won't be able to settle down permanently in Batuu, EA says they'll be able to bring their adventure home with them via new decor, home design items, and recipes inspired by the Black Spire Outpost. They can also hang onto their lightsabers for a bit of impromptu action back on Earth, or bond with their droids for some additional companionship.

The Sims 4's Star Wars: Journey to Batuu expansion comes to PC, Mac, Xbox One, and PS4 on 8th September, and should cost around £17.99.
