QuoteYou, the Avatar, have been transported by your Moonstone to the primitive and savage world of Eodon. There, you must work towards uniting the native tribes to face a common threat: a race of gigantic ants known as the Myrmidex. You won't be alone, however, as you will be assisted by Professor Rafkin, ace reporter Jimmy Malone, and the exotic jungle princess Aiela. Take control of strange and powerful shamanistic magics and confront a varied bestiary that includes vicious dinosaurs and even mad high priests.

Worlds of Ultima 1: Savage Empire was built using a modified Ultima VI engine; it's familiar to long-time fans but it's also a great starting point for people who are new to the world of Ultima. Featuring a text-based conversation system along with turn-based combat, Worlds of Ultima 1: Savage Empire should find a permanent space on your hard drive.

QuoteExplore the Red Planet and save history before it's too late!

The year is 1893. The World's Columbian Exposition in Chicago. Astronomer Percival Lowell's colossal space cannon is poised to hurl a huge bullet-ship to Mars. Then disaster strikes! The cannon discharges a day early with dozens of history's leading figures aboard. Unprepared for the rigors of Mars, the accidental space travelers have little chance of surviving. You must rescue the stranded expedition or history will be forever changed!

Martian Dreams is the second in the Ultima Worlds of Adventure series, taking you, the Avatar, to exciting new worlds of science fiction, mystery, historic exploration, horror, time travel, espionage, and fantasy. Time and space, past and future, fact and fiction--all are are yours to explore in Ultima Worlds of Adventure!

I am, somehow, less interested in the weight and convolutions of Einstein's brain than in the near certainty that people of equal talent have lived and died in cotton fields and sweatshops.

Those were great games but generally the sorts of games the Ultima series were, games with cutting edge graphics and sounds for their time and highlighted them, have no aged well.

Ultima 6 is still my favorite of the series. Gonna have to try these since they're based on its engine.
