Here's an idea: B-52s.

Some here would say dreadnoughts.
They are more effective as a weapon of war.  The dreadnought, that is.

I'm willing to attempt deploying a dreadnought to Afghanistan.

That would be surprising, I have found The Love Shack to be the solution to most things.

IT WASN'T A ROCK.

It isn't the solution to Fermat's Lost Theorem.

Land battleships seemed to be a common trope in cartoons when I was a kid.

They'd just get sunk by the land carrier from UN Squadron.

Carrier aircraft aren't especially good at sinking battleships that are underway and properly manned.

Is vampire shift the same as graveyard shift?

Vampire shift sounds much cooler and threatening, though.

What about land battleships?
Person. Woman. Man. Camera. TV.

How about giant airships that can deploy smaller air ships or biplanes?

Actually, thanks to shows like Twilight and the Vampire Diaries, it sounds much more effeminate and non-threatening.  The sort of shift that a thirteen year old retarded girl dreams of dating.

Yes.  Twenty five or thirty years ago it may have been cool, but age hasn't been kind of the vampire mythos.  Even Buffy eventually started screwing them.

True to that. I the only vampire books I've read http://www.amazon.com/Covenant-Vampire-Diaries-Family-Dracul/dp/0440215439/ref=sr_1_16?ie=UTF8&qid=1339340345&sr=8-16 when they first came out in 1995. They were no Twilight and the Vampire Diaries.
