Heh, well, SF seems to be around the 60s at night at this point so we'll have to carry something thick for the plane trip. :p

Seriously, switch to Celcius. Geez.

garbon

SF is almost always breezy.

Oh and keep that metric propaganda out of California!

No thanks. Our bodies can't handle Celsius temperatures in the 60s and 70s.

According to wiki only the USA, Liberia and Burma haven't officially adopted the metrical system. Get on with it, chop chop.

Be sure to lecture the largest American you meet on that.

I already got a Cali girl to support metrification.

No fucking way I go metric.  Counting by 10s is tough.
I have come to believe that the whole world is an enigma, a harmless enigma that is made terrible by our own mad attempt to interpret it as though it had an underlying truth.

Meter is no problem.  It's a yard give or take.  No freakin' clue about that celcius nonsense.

I thought the US did officially adopt the metric system.  It just didn't make it mandatory.
I've given it serious thought. I must scorn the ways of my family, and seek a Japanese woman to yield me my progeny. He shall live in the lands of the east, and be well tutored in his sacred trust to weave the best traditions of Japan and the Sacred South together, until such time as he (or, indeed his house, which will periodically require infusion of both Southern and Japanese bloodlines of note) can deliver to the South it's independence, either in this world or in space.  -Lettow April of 2011

It says it's used in science, in the military and partially in industry, but not at the household level, where customary units still prevail for most stuff.

Anyway, I'm leaving. See you on the other side (of the Atlantic)!  :w00t:

Celsius scale makes much more sense for daily use conceptually, as zero is the water freezing temperature. Of course nothing beats the force of habit - to be Fahrenheit scale is completely nonsensical too.
