I don't remember ever having hushpuppies in New Jersey.... in Kentucky it's pretty much a given they'll come with seafood though.

Only a dead man can leave those hushpuppies alone. :(

I'd skip the filler and go straight for the prawns and crabs.

Ezzackly.  It's okay to sample that (plus the corn on the cob w/ Old Bay seasoning), but keep telling yourself that it's filler, and what you've starved yourself all day for was the crabs.

It's a beach.  Has beachy tourist stuff.  Funnel cake too.

Also has a lot of subpar seafood restaurants.  One of the really good ones we went to had a kick-ass all you can eat smorgasbord-type deal for about $20, though.  If you could manage not to fill up on the stuff they brought out first (which was good), you could chow down on crabs, which is brought out later.

edit: The place is called Hooper's.  Haven't been there for about 8 years but it still haunts my dreams: http://www.hooperscrabhouse.com/

:mmm: Sounds good, though the price seems to have crept up to $28.  And I won't forget to BRING MY STADIUM CUP!
