I like how Languish thinks that race is what matters most in a politician.

It appears it is important to the Finns given the way some of the Party platforms were described.

The result of the first round is pretty much as expected. Niinistö got 36.9% and Haavisto 18.7%, with Väyrynen third at 17.6%. Haavisto got quite a bit of support in the last couple of weeks, which allowed him to get those extra votes he needed to beat Väyrynen. So in two weeks there will be a second round between Niinistö and Haavisto. Niinistö will probably win, but surprises can happen.

So, with the second round pretty much done, Niinistö wins with 62,6% of the votes, which was pretty much as expected. No surprises, but a good showing from Haavisto who managed to get to the second round against many odds. Since this is Languish and we must have pics, here's Finland's new First Lady, Jenni Haukio, who is 29 years Niinistö's junior:

And for the record, here's Haavisto's partner Nexar Antonio Flores, who is 20 years Haavisto's junior:

Yeah, they like 'em young.
