I've driven several times bare foot.  Very comfortable.

I've never had any problem with it either.

You could say the same about most cars

I didn't say anything about cars one way or the other. My point is that equating bicycles to shoes doesn't work very well.

Well I said tools or shoes, I think it works well in the sense I'm talking about it, that you need a different type of shoe for different journeys/terrain; it's not my problem that some posters here can't imagine a world without the gas pedal.  :P

Oh, yeah, if that's the argument, that definitely makes sense.

Yes, that was my original point, though ironically because I only ever cycle everywhere, I actually only ever use one type of shoe.  :)

The two most useful - widely applicable, and money-saving - home repair skillsets you can have are basic carpentry and basic plumbing.

Oh, also, the third skill - basic tree care. If you own a house and you don't manage your trees, they will definitely manage you.

Does chopping them all down and burning them count as managing?
The medievals were only too right in taking nolo episcopari as the best reason a man could give to others for making him a bishop. Give me a king whose chief interest in life is stamps, railways, or race-horses; and who has the power to sack his Vizier (or whatever you care to call him) if he does not like the cut of his trousers.

Government is an abstract noun meaning the art and process of governing and it should be an offence to write it with a capital G or so as to refer to people.

Day after Christmas, ate at Mellow mushroom.  Got food poisoning for Christmas.  After two days of eating only crackers and plain yogurt, I LIVE!

Hope you feel better.

I never really liked the Mellow Mushroom all that much.  The one here is overpriced and overcrowded.  They never tried to kill me though.

Yes, although it's a bit like using a sledgehammer to swat a fly.

EDIT: Plus, who the fuck wants their house to look like they live in Singapore? :yuk:
