MBM failed us, why am I not surprised?

Almost all my LFFL starting lineup is on a bye week, which is just as well for all the good they did me last week.  I guess I have a hedge against a Bengals loss Sunday, since I have three Colts offensive players starting this weekend

The odds/spreads seem to better reflect reality this week.  Can't find an easy way to copy & paste them into a readable format, so here's a link: http://sportsdirect.usatoday.com/odds/usatoday/odds.aspx#nfl

Obviously flex scheduling hasn't started yet, or else Minnesota-Chicago would be switched with pretty much any of the late games (except for the Benedict Arnold Bowl).

I think my early game is going to be the Niners vs the Lions.  That should be entertaining.
I do not hate you, nor do I love you, but you are made out of atoms which I can use for something else.

Weeks 10-15 and 17 only per the NFL (although the same page says it starts in week 11).

Jet: So what kind of woman is she? What's Julia like?
Faye: Ordinary. The kind of beautiful, dangerous ordinary that you just can't leave alone.
Jet: I see.
Faye: Like an angel from the underworld. Or a devil from Paradise.

I am so fucking sick of the Jets Rex Ryan on Monday night. Good thing I have to hit the sack at 11pm.

The Monday Night games have been pretty bad this year, although I did enjoy the Lions last night.

I'm actually feeling a little confident about the Redskins game. They should pull a win despite being the underdog. If they win, I definitely think they'll go 8-8 this season.

And it's sad that 8-8 would be considered good for the Skins :(

If I were a bettin' man I'd definitely take the points in that game.  Eagles haven't allowed less than 24 points in any game so far and the Redskins seem to be able to play just well enough to win.

I'd also take the points in Bills-Giants.

Who'd have thought that the biggest week 6 matchup would be the 49ers & Lions?

It would indeed have been sad in 1993...but by now it is just who they are under Snyder.

Hmm, I do have an Intrade account. But it doesn't look like you can bet on games there.

Tim Tebow to play the son of Bruce Willis in Die Hard 5!

Broncos QB Tim Tebow being considered to star in 'Die Hard' franchise

If the football thing doesn't work out, Tebow could take over Bruce Willis' role in the Die Hard series.

The fifth movie in the Die Hard series — to be called A Good Day to Die Hard — will begin filming in January with Bruce Willis in the lead, maybe for the final time.

The movie's story line will be significant because its aim is to pass on the successful franchise to a younger actor, who will play action hero John McClane's son.

And among the names being floated to play Willis' son is Denver Broncos quarterback and former Florida Gator Tim Tebow.

The topic of Tebow came up Wednesday when Tom Rothman, co-chairman and CEO of Fox Filmed Entertainment announced the new film project exclusively on Wednesday on the syndicated sports show The Jim Rome Show, known as The Jungle.

"What do you think of Tebow in the lead?'' Rothman asked Rome and the listening audience. Rome did not give Tebow a thumbs up.

"He might be too nice," Rome said, referring to Tebow's wholesome reputation. "But no one would work harder to make it work." Rothmans says, regardless, he expects many young Hollywood actors to audition for the part. "We have to find just the right guy.''

Rothman admitted to Rome that with the latest movie, producers plan to bequeath the Die Hard franchise to a younger actor. Willis, now 56, starred in the first Die Hard in 1988 when he was in his early 30s.

Rothman said the latest plot has McClane, the veteran New York cop, traveling to the Soviet Union to rescue his son, who has run into trouble with authorities.

Father and son have a troubled relationship.

"They'll be trying to resolve their issues while fighting off bad guys,'' Rothman said. " And the movie will show that the fruit doesn't fall far from the tree.''

A Good Day to Die Hard is set for release on Valentine's Day 2013.

  Nice.  I think I'll be pulling for the Raiders.  They've got a chance to win the AFC West, whereas the Browns have almost no chance in the AFC North.  Also, I think Holmgren is a dick and deserves to have more bad shit happen to him and his puppet squad of coaches.
