47% of all Americans use some form of social networking online.  Is Languish's percentage higher?

Sheilbh

Facebook.  But I look forward to leaving it once Google + opens up :mmm:

Voted the last option, though technically I am on Facebook.

Zanza

Facebook, Google+ and a German kind of LinkedIn called xing

I use Facebook daily, tested Google+ out of curiosity and use xing occasionally.

Grey Fox

Facebook. I ofcourse have profiles on Google+, MySpace & every other start up that fail since 2008 or so.

I dunno, a lot of people at work have been encouraging me to create a profile on LinkedIn, as apparently you can make professional connections with it, so perusers (and more importantly, potential employers) can see the tree.

I object on the grounds that because for every connection you make to an individual that you think is a positive one, there's someone else out there that thinks that individual is an asshole.

I'd rather save that sort of thing for the job interview, and dance around it accordingly.

Meh.

Jet: So what kind of woman is she? What's Julia like?
Faye: Ordinary. The kind of beautiful, dangerous ordinary that you just can't leave alone.
Jet: I see.
Faye: Like an angel from the underworld. Or a devil from Paradise.

Facebook, twitter, google + and linked.

It works for me to keep apprised of jobs from folks I've worked with on previous shoots.

Facebook and Linkedin over here.

Btw, I can vouch for Linkedin's usefulness, at least initially. I started using it last month after being encouraged by a coleague and at least on the networking part of the deal it works quite well. I'll tell you next year if it's a good way to find a new job.  :P

Brazen

Facebook and LinkedIn.

You can guarantee any potential, and probably current employer will check you out on both of these. Not having an account looks like you're hiding something. LinkedIn groups are good for getting information in your profession, it's not just individuals circle-jerking for recommendations.

I have accounts in MySpace, but it's no longer 2005, and Twitter, but I have an attention span greater than 30 seconds, and Google+, but I can't work out what it's good for yet.

I accidentally volunteered to set up a Twitter account for work because I'm a masochist.

Zanza

By the way, I am not in the phone book as I don't want random people to know my phone number. I prefer to have privacy settings for that. :P

Just added you at LinkedIn.

Facebook and LinkedIn, none of them extensively.

LinkedIn is pretty useless for me, except in case our company fails miserably and I find myself in need of a new job.

hm, registered at LinkedIn, but didn't add any of you whose e-mail my google account knew. I am looking at you, pbem opponents.

Otherwise, I kinda use Facebook, but post very infrequently. Waiting on Google+ to set off, that is more useful for managing social contacts.
