With the latest Gaga installment it is time to create a permanent Languish Outpost for the reigning queen of pop music.

In here I shall post various tidbits, trivia, gossips, clips, lyrics, etc.  Feel free to comment - or deride as is the Languish way.

Let's begin with her newest clip: "YoÜ and I"

Once again Gaga offers us a unique blend of symbology - and once again the imagery is very powerful.  In fact I would venture to say that when it comes to her clips, the music attached to those is somewhat accessory.  It doesn't really matter that the images shown appear to be disconnected from the lyrics.  Let's call it a second narrative; a sub-text of the official song.  There is something Dali-esque about the multi-layered, aka subconscious, symbols she uses to express the very simple idea embodied in her 'Born This Way' album: "You are who you are - nobody can change that - so accept it and others will follow suit".

I particularly loved the opening scene - that manufactured junkie, bleeding her high heels out, seen from a distance in a desert haze...

All praise to Gaga; Prophetess, Queen and Goddess!

No idea who those Dolls are.

In any case, here's a clip of Gaga singing "Hair" at the Paul O'Grady Show last June.  Hair raising - so to speak.  :P

Meh, I liked the accoustic version of that song that came out last year better.
It is far better for the truth to tear my flesh to pieces, then for my soul to wander through darkness in eternal damnation.

Jet: So what kind of woman is she? What's Julia like?
Faye: Ordinary. The kind of beautiful, dangerous ordinary that you just can't leave alone.
Jet: I see.
Faye: Like an angel from the underworld. Or a devil from Paradise.

And here's a rendition of 'Edge of Glory' performed at the Howard Stern' Show in July.

Here's an homage to Gaga, a film thesis for the Los Angeles Film School, based on Gaga's "Bloody Mary" song.  Quite well done for a non professional piece of work.

It's a bit obsessive, but I don't get a serial killer vibe from it.

Well no, but I could see him tucking his unit up to sew with looped Lady Gaga videos playing.

Grallon truly is the Canadian Slargos.
I am, somehow, less interested in the weight and convolutions of Einstein's brain than in the near certainty that people of equal talent have lived and died in cotton fields and sweatshops.

Too bad Gaga's latest record sucks.

She's had two decent songs(Poker Face and Bad Romance) and a bunch of crap.
