What--did you think Himmler designed them himself?

Well I do not think Napoleon designed the unis the Old Guard wore either but as far as I know it was not some famous fashion designer who did it.

I'm pretty sure fashonistas were sent to the camps

First Maxim - "There are only two amounts, too few and enough."
First Corollary - "You cannot have too many soldiers, only too few supplies."
Second Maxim - "Be willing to exchange a bad idea for a good one."
Second Corollary - "You can only be wrong or agree with me."

A terrorist which starts a slaughter quoting Locke, Burke and Mill has completely missed the point.
The fact remains that the only person or group to applaud the Norway massacre are random Islamists.

Wow way to leap over the line of good taste with both feet.

"Historically important"?  At best, it's trivia.  I'm not defending collaborating with the Nazis, but it's hardly news that lots of Frenchmen did collaborate, and exactly which French citizens did and which ones didn't isn't really that important (especially when we're talking about ones that died 40 years ago--new allegations of someone living being directly involved in atrocities would be another story).

Don't be silly.  Who was and wasn't a Nazi isn't important anymore.
I do not hate you, nor do I love you, but you are made out of atoms which I can use for something else.

Well, Wehrmacht and Waffen SS were the smartest dressers in WW2 . . .
Thanks to Hugo Boss!  :P
Wow, WTF?  There sure were a lot of Nazis in Germany during the WWII period.   :hmm:

I think the founder of L'Oreal also heavily collaborated with the nazis.

I have aryan wardrobe and cosmetics.

While the company Hugo Boss as we know it know is still the same, they only started producing suits and the like after the war. So the person Hugo Boss was not really a fashion designer, just a textile industrialist.

Josquius

Aye, not such a big deal.
Fanta is still going afterall.

It is far better for the truth to tear my flesh to pieces, then for my soul to wander through darkness in eternal damnation.

Jet: So what kind of woman is she? What's Julia like?
Faye: Ordinary. The kind of beautiful, dangerous ordinary that you just can't leave alone.
Jet: I see.
Faye: Like an angel from the underworld. Or a devil from Paradise.

It was invented by Coca-Cola Germany in 1941 because they couldn't get the ingredients for Coke anymore.

I think the founder of L'Oreal also heavily collaborated with the nazis.

Both Schueller (the founder) and Bettencourt (his right-hand man, future son-in-law, and heir) were far-right and anti-semites, but like many French fascists, they were also nationalists (and opportunists), which made them hard to situate in relation to Nazis. The first seems to have switched over to the Résistance earlier than the second.

You got to admit, Nazi uniforms were fashion.
