I don't know. QuebecC's is a College Sports town.

And one of the college sports they seem to love if football.

I don't see both Moncton and Halifax getting CFL teams though - any team out there would have to attract regional support in order to thrive.

Yes. Something that is cheaper than CFL football.

CFL is pretty darn cheap though.  I think you can get Eskimo tickets for <$20.

That cheap? Not sure how they are in Montreal.

I'd like to go to a football game. ~10 years to go!

Why so long a wait?

I'm going to try bringing Timmy to a game next year in the kids zone.  He won't sit and watch during the entire thing, but he'll have enough patience to watch some of it and I think he'd have fun.

My son is 11 weeks old but maybe you are right, only 3-4 years.

I don't think she would like the experience. She hasn't show any interest into football lately.

That might be dangerous.  What if he starts liking the Eskimos?  You're setting him up for a lifetime of despair. :o

I don't know about teams in Atlantic Canada.  It's just so poor out there.
I do not hate you, nor do I love you, but you are made out of atoms which I can use for something else.

Saskatchewan was poor for a lot of years and still managed to support the Riders.

And if we're talking lifetimes, over the course of my lifetime the Eskimos have been stupidly successful, and only the last 5 years or so an aberration. <_<

Which is why I enjoy their current suffering so very, very much. :D

Any issues with Eskimos being a racially insensitive name?

None.  Maybe the Inuit aren't as into identity politics as their kin to the south, or maybe they just don't watch a lot of CFL games.

I haven't heard any.  It does help that they don't really use any eskimo/inuit symbols or figures - their logo is a straight-forward double E.  It's usually not the name itself that gives offence, but the use of somewhat dated or racist logos, chants, mascots and the like.
