No, I have just never liked the Eskimos.
Is there anything in Edmonton you do like?
Myself.  I'm neutral on the hockey team.  I like the minimal use of the quadrant system to organize streets.

Bah.  I hate the street-naming system here.

Streets run north-south, and started at 100 St in the downtown core.  Avenues run East-west, and also started in the downtown core.  Building numbering starts with the street or avenue number, then adds two digits for the individual building.  So you get, say, an address of 18765 144 St.  Way too many digits.

And the hockey team sucks.

That's the only sensible way to do it.  As soon as you start naming streets, everything becomes terrible.  The new subdivisions can go to hell.

As for the Oilers, I have a hard time hating them.  They're mostly harmless, and not very good.  It's like hating Columbus or something.  And since they're not all cheapshotting cowards like Vancouver, or the media's annointed team like Toronto, they're mostly harmless.
I do not hate you, nor do I love you, but you are made out of atoms which I can use for something else.

Poor Bombers.  Not everybody gets to dominate like the Riders.

Yes.  The 'Riders are the definition of "dominate".
They were tonight.
And again today.

I hope Beeb is reading Traveller PDFs rather than watching this, because otherwise little Tim will definitely become a Riders fan.

:bleeding: :bleeding: :bleeding: :bleeding: :bleeding: :bleeding: :bleeding: (one for each loss this season)

Thankfully I missed it.

That's 8 straight Labour Day games lost by the Bombers.

:bleeding: :bleeding: :bleeding: :bleeding: :bleeding: :bleeding: :bleeding: :bleeding:

And from the team that made it to the Grey Cup last year.

And now the Banjo Bowl too, although at least it was competitive.

Guess who drove down to Calgary to see a CFL game, only to see the Bombers down 27 - 0 after the half :bleeding:

Oh and this is two months late but NBC sports is the former VS sports channel rebranded after NBC universal bought it.
Heavy in tour de France, MLS, NHL (well when no lockout) and CFL.

The playoffs aren't for everyone.

Still, at least you aren't an Eskimos fan.

Guess who is performing at the 100th Grey Cup half time show?

Grey Fox

Man, the east sucks.

I remember, back in June, watching TSN's CFL preview show. The pundits were going on about how the West was going to suck & the East might crossover.

So right and yet so wrong.
Colonel Caliga is Awesome.
