Vancouver's Whitecaps FC is doing quite well in the MLS recently, under the new Danish head coach.

Not just MLS. they won CONCACAF champions league.

I believe the final is in Mexico on June 1st.

Unsurprisingly, CONCACAF wasn't letting a MLS team win and the Whitecaps got crushed.

That or Liga MX is better than the MLS.

Good to see that the World Club Championship looks like it's going to be a massive flop with ticket prices being cut by 80%+ to try and get some bums on seats.

This is a topic I've often thought about. How do different national leagues compare to each other.
If I take England as a baseline my handwavy analysis would be that MLS's top teams sit around Championship mid table level and its bottom teams solidly League 1.
I've no idea on Mexico. How would its top teams fair plonked in the English system? (purely theoretical, assuming they've the same team but are located in the midlands with all their fans)

I think that's about right. I remember Bradley Wright-Phillips being a decent League 1 striker for Charlton getting us promotion but poor in the Championship the following season (1 goal in 19 appearances). We didn't offer him a new contract and he moved to New York Red Bulls getting the MLS golden boot twice.

Not to mention the Intercontinental Cup was cheaper for the fans. 

Just one plane ticket to Tokyo to book.

Another issue is that it's in the US. Who knows where the next ICE gestapo raid will be. I wouldn't go.

Yeah the World Cup next year will be fun. The Argentinians will hoist the Cup and then instantly be cuffed and sent on military planes to South Sudan.
