She just lost a lot of male supporters.

Also, per CdM regulations I am required to note that Bachmann is batshit crazy.

QuoteBREAKING: Bachmann pledges to ban pornography | Tonight, Michele Bachmann became the first presidential candidate to sign a pledge created by THE FAMiLY LEADER, an influential social-conservative group in Iowa. By signing the pledge Bachmann "vows" to "uphold the institution of marriage as only between one man and one woman" by committing herself to 14 specifics steps. The ninth step calls for the banning of "all forms" of pornography. The pledge also states that homosexuality is both a choice and a health risk. You can read all the details of the pledge here.
It is far better for the truth to tear my flesh to pieces, then for my soul to wander through darkness in eternal damnation.

Jet: So what kind of woman is she? What's Julia like?
Faye: Ordinary. The kind of beautiful, dangerous ordinary that you just can't leave alone.
Jet: I see.
Faye: Like an angel from the underworld. Or a devil from Paradise.

I hesitated to defend Bachmann, because she's a batshit crazy non-Christian who went to a shit law school.  But Jonathan Adler has no such scruples:

Perhaps both of you fuckwads could refrain from posting blog items. :)

You know, I say this a lot, but if they banned pornography (impossible, but let's say they did it), I'm actually pretty sure I would have to move to Canada.  Or Mexico.  Anywhere would be preferable.

Although as one of the commentators pointed out, look at what it's being lumped in with. ""Pornography" is being lumped in with human trafficking, sex slavery, infanticide, prostitution, and abortion, all of which are serious crimes or the authors think they should be. The only other item on the list that's even questionable is "seduction into promiscuity."

You know that "seduction into promiscuity" probably means telling kids they should not kill themselves for being gay, right?

I don't know why they have to take a reach on something like this, considering she's made so many more concrete statements about batshit crazy stances she can be beaten up for.

Probably not.
I've given it serious thought. I must scorn the ways of my family, and seek a Japanese woman to yield me my progeny. He shall live in the lands of the east, and be well tutored in his sacred trust to weave the best traditions of Japan and the Sacred South together, until such time as he (or, indeed his house, which will periodically require infusion of both Southern and Japanese bloodlines of note) can deliver to the South it's independence, either in this world or in space.  -Lettow April of 2011

I don't think I'd want to stay if they outlawed rock music, either. -_-

Most porn is from the US. I doubt the Russian woud be able to fill in the gap.

Wouldn't that be against the 1st amendment tho?
