This is why people in the south are so fat: no snow workouts.

There are no snow workouts, just snow heart attacks.

Unless there is some kind of heart attack snow story I am not aware of, I think CdM is referencing the fact that every time it snows down here everybody freaks out and closes everything.

The couple of times I've had to shovel snow, it was Real hard work, but being a southerner the general lack of it is why I have to exercise.  :bowler:

Like Seedy I've read that heart attacks are very common while shoveling snow.

Ah ok. I am unfamiliar with snow shoveling issues :texas:

While I was out in California all of the snow here melted and now it's nice and warm.  High today of 76.

Says something about Texas that the meme has reached over the Atlantic, but not down south to the blasted wastelands.  :P

It says that it doesn't snow much or at all in Texas, I think.

Hardly ever. It loves to sleet and cover shit in ice. I know all about ice scraping and falling on my ass and feeling my car slide along the road, not much about snow shoveling or having snowball fights.

I thought he was referencing a different meme.

Yeah, it's a worry with shoveling. Shoveling snow can be a heavy strain on your body, especially if older and not accustomed to the effort. News and doctors warn about it all the time.

KRonn

Snow melt has been pretty dramatic and even though I still have a couple feet of snow cover on my lawn, the bigger snow piles have melted down a lot.  Those snow piles have been a real hazard for driving as it was hard to see around or over them at intersections or when trying to enter a road and especially a main road or highway. The were too high to see over in so many places that at first it was damn dangerous to pull out onto roads in some places. The difference over the past week and a half has been huge. In the cities it's been worse, especially in Boston with the narrow roads and on street parking only in so many neighborhoods.

Wow, 9 feet of snow in a season is quite a bit.

And the bulk of 9 feet of snow came in a month and a half. Started last week of January and through most of February. It would have been more manageable if it had happened throughout much of the winter months. We had no snow on the ground until late January when the first big storm hit, and had only received maybe a few inches over all prior to that.
