Ugh. How....70's of you.

I live in a 120 year old house. It's not like central air was common when it was built. :contract:

Christ, I'm lucky I have running water!
Yesterday, upon the stair,
I met a man who wasn't there
He wasn't there again today
I wish, I wish he'd go away...

CountDeMoney

Does it at least have water closets?

Water closet. Singular. Just the one.

I met a man who wasn't there
He wasn't there again today
I wish, I wish he'd go away...

I remember visiting a couple aunts and an uncle in Florida in the 70s & early 80s.  None of their houses had AC

Pfft, so what;  we have Baltimore City public schools here without AC.

PDH

Pfft, nobody has A/C here in Wyoming.  Oh wait, we don't need it.

A good heating system, THAT we need.
I have come to believe that the whole world is an enigma, a harmless enigma that is made terrible by our own mad attempt to interpret it as though it had an underlying truth.

Heh. The kids have half-days all week this week because of the heat. No AC = Heat Days. :D

My apt was built in 1905 and I have an a/c unit.

I bet Meri has plastic on her furniture too.

Warm 80+ degree sunny days at the moment, but the days are really shortening now.

It's 10:30 at night, and still in the 80s. Goddamn it. :glare:

And we're choosing to go camping. :frusty:

Man, we just had to tough it out.
I've given it serious thought. I must scorn the ways of my family, and seek a Japanese woman to yield me my progeny. He shall live in the lands of the east, and be well tutored in his sacred trust to weave the best traditions of Japan and the Sacred South together, until such time as he (or, indeed his house, which will periodically require infusion of both Southern and Japanese bloodlines of note) can deliver to the South it's independence, either in this world or in space.  -Lettow April of 2011
