Even with a 2 year old.  We have to convince him to put on his snowpants, but then he merrily loads up his toy dumptruck with snow, then dumps it out and starts all over...

So heard that Boston is really being dumped on. Something like 18 inches already. New York looks like there is snow but really no big deal. Even on non-salted/non-plowed places near me, saw maybe 2 inches. Hopefully stays that way!

We were totally fine here. I think Queens might have a few subway lines not running and some train service. Looks like yeah, Eastern LI and Boston got the brunt of it.

What a big storm. Boston got about 24 inches, and where I am outside got at least that, maybe more since I'm further from the ocean, less rain. I cleared out the driveway last night, at least a foot of snow, plus the big drifts at the end of the driveway caused by the snow plows on the street.

This morning it was just as bad. I had snowdrifts on one side of my driveway that were over three feet high. Took a lot of work to clear even with the snow blower. I had to knock down the drifts with a shovel and make a couple passes with the machine to clear it all. Plus a lot more work at the end of the driveway to clear out where it was snowed in by plow trucks.

This was a really big storm. Massachusetts Governor did it right and called for a ban on driving unless essential workers like hospital or other necessary workers. That really kept the streets clear for the plow trucks, and prevented stalled and stuck masses of cars on the roads. We learned from this kind of thing happening a few years ago, cars stuck and clogging the snowed in highways. So now the State officials will shut the roads down. Plus people learned that they don't want to be out there stuck in snowdrifts and such, taking hours to get anywhere.
