And I'll take the the humidity over the scorching dry heat we had. At least now it's not sunny all the fucking time.

I dunno, man...I've been in Phoenix in 100 weather, and while hot is hot, I'd still take 100 in Phoenix than 85 degrees and 85% humidity in Baltimore any day.  At least in Phoenix, shade actually works.

Agreed.  I went from 105 on the rim of the Grand Canyon to mid-80s in the deep south inside two weeks.  105 dry heat wins hands down.

I walked outside from work today, and I could feel the humidity making the skin on my hands moist.

At least you can escape the sun....no shade from humidity.

mongers

Yeah it was quite pleasant doing a lot of exercise in the 75f heat this afternoon; despite the rain, we don't seem to do absolute humidity in the Blighty.  :bowler:

What you pansies classify as Hurricanes we call a regular winter storm came through Anchorage last night. Knocked out power for great parts of town and quite a bit of tree clean up going on today.

67 degrees today? Do I dare to dream that Gaia's heat grip on my sweaty balls has eased?

No kidding, it's gotten to the point in the mornings that I'm considering closing my windows at night; 58 degree lows at night make it fucking chilly at 6am.  Thank Christ we're at that point.

 lucky to hit 58 for high now.

Nice, cool, rainy and breezy day today.  T-storms and isolated tornado potential from Richmond to western Massachusetts.

I think I'll play some video games today.

My ankles were  a bit chilly this morning, just 15C mid-afternoon. Time to dig out the socks and tights soon. It's the two weeks the office is a sensible temperature between the air con not working and them switching the heating on.

mongers

Forgot to say, it was a beautiful late afternoon down the beach/sea front a couple of says ago; sunshine and excellent visibility, not only
could one see The Needles really nicely, but the far south of the Isle of Wight was also visible, that's over 40km.

We've had nice weather recently  I've got to get around to mowing the yard though.
I've given it serious thought. I must scorn the ways of my family, and seek a Japanese woman to yield me my progeny. He shall live in the lands of the east, and be well tutored in his sacred trust to weave the best traditions of Japan and the Sacred South together, until such time as he (or, indeed his house, which will periodically require infusion of both Southern and Japanese bloodlines of note) can deliver to the South it's independence, either in this world or in space.  -Lettow April of 2011

Hit below 50 degrees last night for the first time.  Now that's what the fuck I'm talking about, kids.  Fall has fell.
