We got around an inch in the yard that promptly melted once it turned to rain. Still cold as fuck, but no more snow.

I had to get up at five in the morning to knock the show off of our summer gazebo so it would not collapse. Just went out to do it again.

It fucking snowed here overnight.... we got like 2-3 inches.   All of the trees have already leafed out so they're all bowed as fuck now.  Hopefully I don't lose any big branches.

Spring is definitely here to stay and Summer is on the horizon, three signs noticed today:
The oak trees have just started to leaf, always the last.
Pairs of ducks on the river are now escorting ducklings
I saw my first swallow, I Know one does not a Summer make, but still.



Other signs, unwelcomed, a fast food drinks cartoon in the lane, so groups of posh teenagers, pretending to be oiks are about to appear.

Weather in New England has been all over the place for temps warm to cold, even some snow. Pretty much what Spring is usually like here. We've had some really nice days. I read that the warm spell we got took a toll in northern NE on Vermont's sugar maple crop, cutting it back quite a bit in some cases. But they say many farmers have reserves of maple syrup so no worries about shortages of it for our pancakes and waffles!

Weather alert for the City of Edmonton - rain is set to change to wet snow tonight, with up to 5-10cm falling by tomorrow evening.
