It was 40/4.5 here this morning!  Panic in the streets, there has been a run on down coats at Costco.

Apparently Edmonton Airport almost hit an all-time record low. Thermometer hit -43.8, whereas the all-time record is -43.9.

Yes it's rather chilly.

The coldest temperature in recorded history of Austin Texas occurred in 1949 with -2F/-17C.

With this current blue norther that is hovering over Texas we may challenge that record early next week. My house is currently covered in ice  :ph34r:

It's "only" -20c right now (-27c windchill).  We've been under an Extreme Cold Warning for over a week.  I thought it was supposed to break this weekend, but now I see it's been pushed more to next Tuesday.

This, combined with the general lockdown going on, sucks.

I think it might be the same weather system. Everything from North Dakota to the gulf is frozen over this weekend.

It was -2 when I put the garbage out this morning.  Felt like I should have put on a jacket for the walk to the curb.  But I don't have a winter jacket.

25C/77F here.  My neighbors already have their air conditioner running.  I prefer to keep my windows open for the time being; consequently every time I get on a conference call my colleagues from Rochester or Toronto wants to know who has the pet bird.

Haven't done it for a long time - doesn't get cold enough here.  But I did enjoy it - especially with a sauna nearby  :)
