It's forecast to get up to 35C (95F) by the end of the month, which is hellish for a country that doesn't believe in domestic air conditioning. Must get some pet mesh for the windows so I can open the damn things more than a crack.

 You have no mesh? What about insects?

Also you can buy a domestic air conditioning unit.

Generally not an issue here.

Aircon not the done thing.  :bowler:

Also probably often against tenancy/leasehold ownership limitations.

You have limitations on putting a 12cm tube out of your window?

Ugh that was rough that summer in Chicago where I had no a/c. I recall my building also didn't allow it. :(

Which is precisely what the farmers are doing in the fields around the house; though I think the owner of the meadow out front has left it a little late as we've rain arriving here late tomorrow.

Been dodging rain shows all afternoon whilst out; managed to get within 2-3 miles of home before the heavens opened.

When thoroughly wet, I stopped to partially shelter under some low trees on the side of the road, it really tipped down.

Then I looked across the narrow road and there was a nice rainbow, but it wasn't in the sky, but actually in the road, a little taller than me and ending 10ft on the other side of the road.

That is a lot of rain, but the internet will only be impressed with triple-all-the-way-across-rainbows.

Yeah, we nowadays sometimes get these semi-monsoon like bursts of rain. :un- :bowler:

Make it happen! Make it happen!

I want to move to Sept-Ile for the same reasons.

Summer in Quebec lasts until October?

By summer do you mean temperatures above freezing?
To sleep, perchance to dream. But in that sleep of death, what dreams may come?

Heh, it was only in the 70s here this past weekend and I told someone "You know, if it was wintertime it'd be below zero."

Apparently it was a "tropical night" yesterday, something meteorologists call it when the temperature never drops below 20 degrees over 24 hours. It sure as shit was hard to sleep last night so I believe them.
