You are good at holding a grudge

Winnipeg Jets day is the same day as my oldest son's birthday, so t's easy to remember.

Next year will be a doozy, as several people in this very thread said the Jets wouldn't last to 10 years.  It's been 9 years so far...

No.  That would be a silly name.

My wife did reject the name Teemu for him though. :(

I like the way you think... :shifty:

But no, Timothy was born May 31, 2010.  Jets return was announced May 31, 2011.

Geez, think of the awful existential crisis of having to live with that every birthday.
I have come to believe that the whole world is an enigma, a harmless enigma that is made terrible by our own mad attempt to interpret it as though it had an underlying truth.

Congratulations on having your very own hockey team that isn't allowed to play any games.

I'm embarrassed. I've been making the mistake of associating with you. It won't happen again. :)

Oldest is indeed a Jets fan.   Oilers are his second favourite, but I usually take him to a Jets @ Oilers game once a year, and he does indeed cheer for the Jets.

But if you ask the other two, their favourite teams are the Sharks and the Golden Knights.

All of them are young enough though that a huge run by the Oilers (or the Jets for that matter) could change things.  Kids always like to cheer for a winner.

The Sharks? They must love to suffer.

And they love a winner? The Sharks are one of the most cursed teams in the NHL.

Back when he was five someone asked him what his favourite team was, and out of the blue he said the Sharks.  Why the Sharks?  Because sharks (the animal) are cool.

He's turning 8 this month and he's stuck with it.
