Thank God.  He should have left along a couple years ago.

I know he annoys most people here, but I love the guy.  Even if he offers up no real insight into the game, he's still entertaining.  It's like watching a game with grandpa :)

Hope he comes back & does a few games here & there, like Keith Jackson.

It is good to go out on top.  Which is exactly what Madden would have done if he had retired in 1994.

About time.  He did not look well last year.

If they use Chris Collinsworth as his replacement, I'll have the every employee of NBC crucified.  Not only is he a Ravenshater, but he's a terrible announcer too.
I do not hate you, nor do I love you, but you are made out of atoms which I can use for something else.

That's how I felt when watching Pat Summerall.  Especially when he was drunk

Now we need to knock off Dick Vitale, and we'll be in good shape.

Yeah, that's about right.  Still, there comes a time when grandpa gets really pale and thin and unwell, and it's time to put him in a home and ignore him.

Never did like Pat's voice.

Thank God, he should have retired a decade ago.

Faye: Ordinary. The kind of beautiful, dangerous ordinary that you just can't leave alone.
Jet: I see.

All that remains is to "retire" Kornheiser and Jaworski :shifty:

What's wrong with Jaworski?

To be fair, he has to dumb down his commentary for people who don't really 'get' football, like you and all the other Patriots fans.
