Here are the next few holidays in the state I live in:

22/04   Good Friday
25/04   Easter Monday

nothing in May (01/05 is on Sunday this year)

02/06   Ascension of Jesus
13/06    Pentecost
23/06   Corpus Christi

After that there's nothing until October.

For the next month or so we are enjoying a frequency of public holidays usually only enjoyed by our continental brethren. Read 'em and weep.

22/04 - Good Friday
25/04 - Easter Monday
29/04 - Royal wedding
02/05 - Early May bank holiday
30/05 - May bank holiday

Read 'em and weep  :bowler:

Meh...I get all the Jew Days off, tomorrow, Wednesday and the following Tuesday and I ain't even of the tribe.

We don't 'officially' get Good Friday off, but lots of people take the day off and the rest usually do nothing and leave early. :)

Same goes for the Friday before Derby.... which is a Kentucky-only thing, of course.

I'm thinking of attending the Derby. And not in the white trash section either.

I've actually never been.

I've been to a couple of races at Churchill Downs, just not that one.  I'll probably go to Oaks at some point--that's the one on Friday that alot of people take off work to go see.  It's not as crazy since nobody outside of the locals cares about it.

You don't get Victoria Day?  A lack of respect for your sovereign.
I do not hate you, nor do I love you, but you are made out of atoms which I can use for something else.

Thursday, Friday and the Monday after Easter are public holidays here. Since I have worked a lot of overtime recently, I have this whole week off.

We are allowed to leave at 2 p.m. subject to the requirements of the service. I remember, as a junior, having to stay in the office on my own until 10 p.m. on the Good Friday as we were submitting some court files.  <_<

Four day week, three day week, four day week. Thanks, privileged Royal scumbags :)
I'm working through the  royal wedding for a day in lieu.

We get another royal bank holiday next year too, for the Queen's Diamond Jubilee.  I'm far less republican than I used to be....

So?  It's not like you were going to go to Church.
I've given it serious thought. I must scorn the ways of my family, and seek a Japanese woman to yield me my progeny. He shall live in the lands of the east, and be well tutored in his sacred trust to weave the best traditions of Japan and the Sacred South together, until such time as he (or, indeed his house, which will periodically require infusion of both Southern and Japanese bloodlines of note) can deliver to the South it's independence, either in this world or in space.  -Lettow April of 2011

25/04 - Easter Monday - Studying for the final exam.
I don't do meditation.  I drink alcohol to relax, like normal people.

If Microsoft Excel decided to stop working overnight, the world would practically end.
