Or the Canadian film Bon Cop, Bad Flic.  Or something like that.
Bon Cop, Bad Cop. ;)
More of a Quebec film than a canadian one.

My version would have been more clever.

Or do youse guys not call cops flics?

Wasn't Margot married to Canada's pm, Trudeau? Cant remember. If not they were definately an item at one time. She also went bipolar recently.

Two different people.  Margot Kidder was in Superman.  Went nuts in 1996.  But wiki says you are right - she did date Trudeau. :o

Margaret Trudeau war Pierre's wife.  She also has mental health issues.

Detecting a pattern here.  :hmm:

People who date Canadians are nuts. Meri makes the third data point.  :D

Amazon prime is so great. Tinker, Taylor, etc., is already here.

Don't gobble it in one lump, saver it over several days/ couple of weeks.  :bowler:

The 2011 version doesnt hold a candle to the BBC version. Not even close.

Any recommendations on "Smiley's People"?

Only seen it once and enjoyed it, but from what I recall, it's not really a sequel, has a different pace, it does significantly round out Smiley's character and fills in some back story to Tinker,Tailor.

Shelf or Tricky are probably your go to men for an opinion on the series.  :)

No, real Canadians like my grandmother say "eh".

I think they're both excellent. Different forms trying to do different things from the novel, but both brilliant adaptations.

And I think any film that ends like this is getting something very right (SPOILERS!):

Watch it. Similar excellent standard, I think I prefer it to Tinker Tailor.

MadImmortalMan

My wife spent the weekend watching the entire original series of Battlestar Galactica.

I think she's absorbed my personality, because that would have been unthinkable for her 15 years ago.
