I don't know.  BSG reboot was right.  Discovery was so-so, but Strange New Worlds feels like a reboot of TOS and it's good.


Lots of reboot have been equally been good or bad.  Walker Texas Ranger apparently wasn't bad, but I've never watched it.  It was kinda hard to miss being worst than the original, admittedly.

Apparently, it was one exec priding himself on having never watched the original show and hating it.  Some GOPtard ranting about woke, surely.

Lots of reboot have been equally been good or bad.  Walker Texas Ranger apparently wasn't bad, but I've never watched it.  It was kinda hard to miss being worst than the original, admittedly.

And those were complete reboots. It wasn't Shatner waddling around training a new generation. And there have been many, many, MANY failed reboot and continuations of beloved shows too. That 90s show, how I met your father, the aforementioned Walker to name a few.

I loved Buffy (and Angel) so while I get the impulse I really doubt it'd be good.

I managed to watch all of Discovery

The first 2 seasons were ok.
The last one wasn't so bad, despite week moments.

I loved Lower Decks.

TNG was controversial on its first season I've been told, before it began.

DS9 was long hated by fans because it wasn't about exploration compared with Voyager and TNG.  Now, it's one the most praised TV series.

Buffy would have been a new Slayer and Buffy's role would have been kinda limited from what I've heard.  She would have been there for the transition on screen, but mostly behind the camera.

I think it deserved a chance for the newer generation.

I don't know about Walker.  Never watched it.  I heard about it a few times, since I watched Supernatural, but I don't think I've even seen a short clip pop on Youtube of FB.  And as I said, the original one wasn't exactly a stellar series

Buffy was campy fun, like Angel. Firefly was heavy on the humor despite it's serious tone at times, while Dollhouse was much more serious.


I'm excited about Firefly.  I hope they find a place to be aired.
