Well, movies are captured and digitised differently these days, but movies, not just television programs, still need to be transferred to home video and streaming.
I believe people say more often than not scanned (original camera negative was scanned at 2K/4K/8K whatever using Data/Tele/cine whatever name brand.

IIRC the French Air Force in 1940 had a prototype telecine system in a bomber, it took reconnaissance photos/film, processed it onboard and scanned it in order to transmit it to the ground.

Yeah, the 'Analogue' world was quite clever at times.

That produced very low-resolution images, though. To get higher resolution, satellites would drop film packages that were caught mid-air by airplanes.

Why mid-air? They couldn't get them to land in a controlled area, I guess?

If I understand correctly, the capsule wasn't strong enough to survive landing on the ground.  It could survive landing in the water, though.

We tackled a similar problem in elementary school. All the needed was glue, popsicle sticks, and rubber bands to solve their issues.

Didn't t think I'd like the new season of scrubs, but so far it's ok.  Don't like the fantasies as much, too cinematic. But it's worth a watch if only to be nostalgic and pass the time.

Do you watch The Pitt? I'm really loving that, a really intense medical show.

Watched a few episodes. It's good, but intense. I was never really into the drama medical shows like this, or ER (and even less so the soap opera style Greys). But i really did love the original scrubs... of which their was only was 8 seasons So i was worried about the new show. It's still only 2 episodes in so can easily go off the rails.
